Job Summary
As a Gardener at Rand Water, you will be a vital part of the EMS team, maintaining and developing landscapes and facilities. This role involves hands-on work in a labor-intensive environment, using various horticultural tools and equipment to enhance the organization’s grounds.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Education: Standard 10/Grade 12.
- Experience: At least six months of relevant gardening or nursery work experience.
- Skills:
- Ability to operate horticultural machinery, including brush cutters, clearing saws, and lawnmowers.
- Basic safety knowledge and the capability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Primary Duties
As a Gardener, your responsibilities will include:
- Grounds Maintenance: Constructing and maintaining lawns and gardens.
- Cleaning: Sweeping, weeding, and watering plants to ensure a neat and tidy environment.
- Fertilization: Applying fertilizers, compost, and chemicals under supervision.
- Debris Management: Removing and loading debris and garden waste.
- Specialized Equipment: Operating tools such as hand-held blowers, lawnmowers, and brush cutters.
- Support Tasks: Assisting with decorations and minor construction tasks as needed.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Knowledge:
- Basic plant knowledge and the ability to operate horticultural equipment like brush cutters and lawnmowers.
