Candidates who participate in the learnership will receive in-depth instruction in many areas of law enforcement, such as traffic regulation, crime prevention, and community policing. Alongside seasoned experts in the sector, they will gain further real-world experience through on-the-job training.

The fact that the City of Cape Town fully funds the COCT professional opportunities is one of its main advantages. Participants won't have to worry about the cost of their training as a result. Successful candidates will also get a monthly stipend to help with living costs.

Applicants will have an opportunity to apply for permanent posts in the Metro Police, Traffic, and Law Enforcement departments of the City of Cape Town after completing their learnership. What you will need

• Grade 12 qualification
• Must be deemed medically and physically fit (as per below requirements)
• Valid Code B Driving Licence
• Must be able to work in a team and cope with stressful situations
• No Criminal Record
• Applicants must permanently reside within the jurisdiction of Cape Town

All shortlisted candidates will be required to undertake and pass the following compulsory fitness test

• 2.4 km run (Males 12:30 minutes and Females 16:00 minutes)
• Push-ups (30 in 60 seconds)
• Sit-ups (30 in 60 seconds)
