Main Responsibilities

As a trainee in the Unilever Quality In-Service Programme, you will be expected to:

  • Complete all learnership requirements as stipulated by Unilever, including but not limited to:
  • Training attendance
  • Completion of assessments
  • Project completion
  • Logbook completion
  • Presentations as needed
  • Carry out general manufacturing line operations, including packing, cleaning, and quality checks.
  • Follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) procedures as required within the assigned operations.
  • Adhere to all site rules governing safety, quality, and code of business principles to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this traineeship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 with at least a 50% pass mark in Core Mathematics and Physical Science.
  • Currently completing a National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Food Technology, which requires P1/P2 work experience.
  • Technical Skills and Experience:
  • Familiarity with laboratory environments, procedures, and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential.
  • Communication Skills:
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in English.
