Duties and Responsibilities

Education Assistants (EAs)

1. Classroom Support:
   • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and presentation.
   • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
   • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a conducive learning environment.
2. Administrative Tasks:
   • Grade assignments and record marks.
   • Organize and distribute learning materials.
   • Maintain student records and attendance logs.
3. Extracurricular Activities:
   • Support teachers in organizing and supervising extracurricular activities, such as sports, arts, and clubs.
   • Help coordinate school events and field trips.
4. Technical Assistance:

• Education Assistants (EAs): Must have at least a Matric qualification. Funza Lushaka graduates are encouraged to apply and do not need a Matric.
• General School Assistants (GSAs): Must meet the basic educational requirements.
