The Standard Bank Group Bursary Programme is designed to promote academic excellence and shape the next generation of African talent and leaders. The programme offers bursaries for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the following fields:

Bursary Types
- Undergraduate Bursary: This bursary is for students on track to successfully complete their first year and who require funding from their second year onwards.
- Postgraduate Bursary: This bursary provides full-cost support to financially deserving and academically outstanding students wishing to pursue postgraduate studies in the funded fields.
Selection Criteria
- Strong academic results in funded qualifications.
- An average of 65% and above in the latest examinations.
- Registration for full-time studies.
- Participation in a formal assessment process, including psychometric evaluation and an interview.
- Consideration of financial need.
What the Bursary Covers
The Standard Bank Group Bursary Fund is a full-cost bursary, covering the following:
- University fees
- Accommodation (university residence or private accommodation, subject to limits)
- Meals (provided by the university or self-catering)
- Books and study materials
- A laptop computer
- A monthly stipend for living costs
- Transport between home and campus four times a year (bus ticket cost)
Post-Bursary Commitment
Bursary beneficiaries will be required to work for Standard Bank if they receive an offer of employment upon graduation.
