SRD Grant R370 Requirements:
The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD Grant) is meant for South African Citizens, Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Special Permit Holders who are between the ages of 18 and 60 years, who have insufficient means, who do not receive social grants on behalf of herself/ himself or who are not contributing to or eligible for UIF payment, and have no financial support from any other source.
How to perform a SASSA Status Check
To check your SRD status for R370 grant follow the steps listed below :
- Visit the SASSA website: Go to the official SRD SASSA website. You can do this by typing Or by clicking "https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status " into your web browser.
- Navigate to the status check page: Look for the section on the website that allows you to entry your details and click "Check Status."
- Enter your details: You will be asked to enter some personal information, such as your ID number or application reference number. Make sure to enter these details accurately.
- Submit your request: Once you have entered your information, click on the "Submit" or "Check Status" button.
- View your status: After submitting your request, your SASSA status should be displayed on the screen. This will indicate whether your application has been approved, rejected, or is still pending.

How to change your SRD Grant banking details
If you are an approved beneficiary of the SASSA SRD R350 Grant and you wish to change your banking details, please submit your ID Number below. An SMS containing a secure link, unique to you, will be sent to the mobile phone number with which you registered during application. Click on the link in the SMS and follow the instructions carefully.
