SAMPRA (South African Music Performance Rights Association) invites unemployed graduates to apply for a Public Relations Internship in Rosebank, Gauteng. This is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about the South African music industry to gain hands-on experience in public relations within the dynamic environment of Universal Music Africa.
Internship Details
- Duration: 12 months
- Location: Rosebank, Gauteng
- Stipend: R6,500.00 per month

Core Responsibilities
As a PR Intern, you will gain exposure to:
- Promoting Universal Music’s artists and content through various channels.
- Drafting and distributing press releases and blasts to media outlets.
- Conducting cold calls to media houses for music promotion.
- Coordinating media attendance at Universal Music events.
- Liaising with radio stations to arrange artist interviews.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this internship, applicants must:
- Hold a qualification in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Have no prior work experience (ideal for recent graduates).
- Provide a certified copy of their transcript or qualification.
- Reside close to or within commuting distance of Rosebank.
- Be a South African citizen.
- Demonstrate above-average communication and time management skills.
- Show a passion for music and a positive attitude.

Additional Notes
- Interns may be required to attend company events, some of which could take place during evenings or weekends.
- This internship provides full exposure to the workings of a record label and the South African music industry.
