Job Description
The Senior Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in the finance team, handling a range of accounting responsibilities to ensure the financial health of the organization. Key duties include:
- Bank Processing and Reconciliations: Managing all bank transactions and ensuring accurate reconciliation.
- Full-function Creditors and Debtors Management: Overseeing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable.
- General Administration: Supporting the finance team with daily administrative tasks.
- Supplier Payments: Ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
- Petty Cash Processing and Reconciliations: Managing petty cash accounts and ensuring accuracy.
- Daily Stock & Inventory Processing and Adjustments: Monitoring and adjusting stock levels as necessary.
- Intercompany Loan Account Journal Entries: Recording and maintaining intercompany financial transactions.
- Document Organization: Maintaining a systematic approach to organizing company documents and financial records.
- Journal Entries: Posting journal entries for accrued expenses and interest-bearing loans.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in Financial Accounting.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Accounting Packages (e.g., Sage, Pastel, Xero Accounting).
- Intermediate MS Excel skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
