Job Description

The Registry Clerk will be responsible for providing comprehensive registry services to the office of the Executive Authority. Key duties include:

  • Ensuring the efficient flow of documents between the office of the Executive Authority, the department, and other structures such as cluster committees and external role players.
  • Filing all documents in accordance with relevant prescripts, including the National Archives Act and the MISS prescripts.
  • Rendering general support functions within the office of the Executive Authority.
  • Controlling stocks and stationery as the chief user clerk for the Executive Authority’s office.
  • Studying relevant Public Service and departmental prescripts/policies to ensure proper understanding and application.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification at NQF level 4.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Knowledge of registry duties and practices.
  • Ability to capture data, operate a computer, and collect statistics.
  • Understanding of the legislative frameworks governing the Public Service.
  • Knowledge of storage procedures relevant to the working environment.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Initiative, innovation, and the ability to be a self-starter.
