Job Description
The Driver/Messenger role at RAF focuses on transporting people, documents, and goods safely while following South African road safety regulations. This includes vehicle maintenance checks, reporting delays, and ensuring efficient deliveries.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Messenger Services:
- Collect and deliver packages/documents on time.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and reconcile items.
- Handle items carefully and ensure proper communication with recipients.
2. Administrative Tasks:
- Sort and file documents as per company policies.
- Prepare and manage records for off-site storage.
- Maintain the branch’s postal service operations efficiently.
3. Transportation and Maintenance:
- Safely transport staff, goods, and materials.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to meet safety standards.
- Report vehicle issues or delays to supervisors.
4. Mail Handling:
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence accurately.
- Maintain records of mail sent and received, including registered mail tracking.
Requirements
- Education: Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
- License: Code 10 (EC1/EC) driver’s license with a valid Professional Driver’s Permit (PDP).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in driving or messenger services.
