Minister of Finance increases sassa Grant. The South Africa minister of Finance recently announced the increase of Social grant that are being paid every months by the South African Social Security Agency on behalf of social development.

Minister of Finance " The child support grant rises from R480 to R510 on 1 October 2023, while the foster care grant increases from R1070 to R1130 over the same period."

Minister of Finance Also said "The old age and disability grants increase by R90 on 1 April 2023 and a further R10 on 1 October 2023. The result is a total increase to R2090 "

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) will pay the grant to you through one of the following methods:

• cash at a specific pay point on a particular day
• electronic deposit into your bank or Postbank account (the bank may charge you for the service) 
• an institution acting as administrator of the grant (e.g. welfare organisation)
