Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Working experience in the hospital environment advantageous
• Experience in dealing with people

Critical Outputs:

• Transport patients from reception to wards and vice versa.
• Transport patients from wards to doctor’s rooms and x-ray.
• Check trolleys for cleanliness and whether in need of repairs (maintain in good working condition)
• Assist in the making work related photocopies.
• Assist with ad-hoc duties as and when required by the Reception Supervisor during busier periods.
• Deliver correspondence to doctor’s as and when required.
• Provide assistance to the nursing staff with the movement of patients in a safe, professional and friendly manner.
• Provide quality service at all times.
• General administrative functions as requested.
• Assist the filing clerk with filing when on leave / sick.
• Assist pharmacy with transport of prescriptions to the ward and patient files to reception
