Job Description

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is offering a Learnership Programme for 2024 aimed at equipping unemployed South African youth with practical skills in the agricultural sector. Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen residing in KwaZulu-Natal.
• Be unemployed and between the ages of 18 and 35.
• For NQF Level 02/03: Possess AET Level 4/Standard 7/Grade 9/10 or have completed NQF1/2 in Animal/Plant Production.
• For NQF Level 04: Possess Grade 12/Standard 10 with passes in English, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences, or have completed NQF 3 in Animal/Plant Production.

Duties

Enrolled learners will:

• Participate in hands-on training and workshops.
• Gain knowledge and skills in animal and plant production.
• Complete various assignments and practical tasks as part of the learnership curriculum.
• Work under the guidance of experienced mentors within the Department of Agriculture.
