Job Description
The Food Aid Services position involves several key responsibilities aimed at supporting the Deputy Minister's office. The main duties include:
- Maintaining Kitchen Hygiene and Safety: Ensuring that all kitchen utensils and equipment are kept clean and hygienic, applying safety measures to prevent accidents.
- Providing Catering Support: Assisting with catering services, including preparing and serving food as required.
- Stock Management: Keeping inventory of kitchen utensils and equipment to ensure everything is available and in good condition.
- Quality Control: Maintaining quality control over all food provided, ensuring that it meets the required standards.
- Waste Management: Handling the removal and disposal of garbage efficiently.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: ABET 2 (NQF level 1) with no prior experience required.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the Public Service Act, Public Service portfolio, political and parliamentary processes in South Africa, and the energy sector.
- Skills: Strong communication and diplomatic skills, with a focus on analytical thinking and creativity.
