eThekwini local Municipality offers free driver’s licence to individual who don’t afford to pay.
Another South African Municipality in the KwaZulu-Natal regions offers free driving training to people who are currently unemployed and not having any Source of income.
However in order to be consider for this opportunity applicants need to meet the requirements and also prove that they are unemployed.
One of the requirements include being under the age of Be under the age of 35, Not in Employment, Training, and Education.
Who can apply as required by eThekwini local Municipality
Applicants interested must
Have Matric or equivalent NQF level 4
Be under the age of 35, Not in Employment, Training, and Education,
Be South African citizens
Provide proof of parent’s affordability (pension, no income)
Applicants that already benefited from municipality programmes will not be considered.
Applicants will be required to undergo a screening process.
Successful applicants will be required to sign a contract with the Municipality.

Proof of Residence (must be attached)
Proof of unemployment (from the Department of Labour)
Proof of parent’s affordability (pension, no income)
Learner Stipend
Since this not a learnership they wont be any benefits or what so ever . this is only training offered to people who don’t afford to go to a driving schooling.
