Job Description
The Driver will be responsible for providing transportation services and general support to the Office of the Deputy Minister. Key responsibilities include:
- Document Collection and Delivery: Efficiently collect and deliver documents within and outside the office to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Transport Services: Provide transport services for employees, guests, and special advisors of the executive authority to various destinations, ensuring safety and punctuality.
- Support Functions: Render general support services in the Office of the Executive Authority, contributing to the smooth operation of the office.
- Policy Adherence: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the policies and procedures applicable in the work environment, ensuring compliance at all times.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Minimum of Grade 10 (NQF level 3).
- License: Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the Public Service Act, familiarity with the Public Service's functional areas, and insight into political and parliamentary processes in South Africa.
- Skills: Proficiency in computer literacy, strong verbal and written communication skills, creativity, and interpersonal skills. Must be logical, innovative, accurate, and diplomatic.
