Job Description

The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the UIF offices. The primary duties include:

  1. Office Cleaning: Clean offices, corridors, elevators, and boardrooms to ensure a neat and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
  2. Kitchen Cleaning: Provide general cleaning services in kitchen areas, ensuring they are tidy and sanitary.
  3. Restroom Maintenance: Regularly clean restrooms, ensuring they are hygienic and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  4. Maintenance of Cleaning Equipment: Keep and maintain all cleaning materials and equipment in good working condition, ensuring their availability for daily use.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Completion of Abet (Adult Basic Education and Training). No prior experience is required, making this an ideal entry-level position.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of cleaning procedures, general hygiene practices, Batho Pele principles, and the appropriate use of cleaning products and applications.
  • Skills: The role requires good planning and organizational skills, effective communication (both verbal and written), and attentive listening skills.
