Conservation South Africa (CSA) is inviting South African jobseekers with Grade 10, 11 or 12 (Matric) to apply for their Blue Economy Learnerships.

Required:
- Strong interest in conservation, marine ecosystems, and community development.
- Willingness to support a local fishing cooperative while acquiring new skills.
- Positive attitude and motivation to contribute to a sustainable blue economy.
- A team player interested in working in the sustainable oceans sector.
- Minimum qualification of Grade 10, 11 or 12 (Matric).
- Willingness to work in physically demanding, outdoor environments.
- Good communication skills with local community and stakeholders.
- Commitment to learning from cooperative members and participating in training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfil various duties within a Fishing Corporative in Port Nolloth, to assist in supporting and strengthening the local community fishing industry.
- Duties could include: data collection, data capture, reporting, financial and other administration, marketing and/or participation in wild kelp harvesting and line fish processing research and activities.
- Collaborate with local communities to promote environmental awareness and sustainable livelihoods.
As part of this learnership, you will be required to: - Attend training workshops on conservation practices, climate change mitigation, and sustainable fisheries management.
- Learn how fishing cooperatives are structured, how they operate, and their role in supporting local communities.
