The Department of agriculture and rural development announced an exciting Learnership in KZN for individuals interested in animal and plant production. The learnership program aims to provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in agriculture.

Requirements

South African citizen
Residing in KZN
At least between the ages of 18-35 years old
This is 70% workplace learning that will take place at DARD facilities. Learning will be 30% theory work and instructional learning.

An FET Certificate in Animal/Plant Production will be issued after completion on the Learnership.

Participants in the learnership will gain both theoretical concepts and practical skills related to various aspects of animal and plant production. This involves acquiring knowledge of soil management, crop cultivation, pest control, and animal husbandry. Additionally, participants will have the chance to work on farms and agricultural initiatives to obtain practical experience.
