Job Description
As a Cabin Crew member at SAA, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers on board. You will be expected to deliver a 5-star customer experience in line with SAA’s Customer Service Standards. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and service procedures specific to the aircraft type, ensuring an uncompromised and excellent customer experience throughout the flight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing the Inflight Services strategy.
- Managing resources effectively to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring compliance with governance, risk management policies, and relevant legislation.
- Handling emergency situations and medical incidents on board.
- Promoting SAA’s corporate brand and maintaining the company's image.
- Collaborating with the flight deck crew, Purser, and other cabin crew members to maintain a harmonious environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric). A relevant 3-year Diploma at NQF level 6 is advantageous.
- Certification: A Cabin Crew Member (CCM) qualification obtained in the last five years is preferred.
- Language: Fluency in English is essential. Additional foreign languages are advantageous.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to swim.
- Height minimum of 1.58 meters.
- Body mass index (BMI) of 35 or less.
- Ability to fit in the aircraft aisle.
- No visible tattoos and well-groomed appearance.
- Other Requirements: Must be a South African national with a valid South African identity document, have reliable transport, and no criminal record. Candidates must be above the age of 18.

- In-depth understanding of cabin services, procedures, standards, and relevant legislation.
- Strong customer service principles and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving, analytical, and time management abilities.
